State EAS Required Monthly Tests (RMT)
Transmission Dates/Times

The times shown are the origination times of state tests. The Required Monthly Test (RMT) is designed to check the State EAS Web links. The Kansas Emergency Communication Committee has set forth that the RMT will be a statewide test. The RMT is prescheduled and will be initiated from the Kansas Department of Emergency Management using the iPAWS system. All stations need to rebroadcast the RMT as soon as possible but not later than 15 minutes after receipt. Stations are reminded that their EAS receiver must be programmed to receive all of the codes listed in the Kansas State Plan. If you need a copy of the Plan, click here.
