Kansas Association of Broadcasters Appoints Gregg Hibbeler as New President and Executive Director

TOPEKA, KS – The Kansas Association of Broadcasters (KAB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Gregg Hibbeler as its new President and Executive Director, effective September 2, 2025. Hibbeler succeeds Allison Mazzei, who is transitioning to serve the National Auction Association (NAA).
Hibbeler brings more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, brand development, and strategic communications. He has held senior executive roles driving growth, visibility, and engagement for organizations across multiple sectors—including national and local nonprofits, media, and sports. Drawing on a career that bridges nonprofit leadership with experience in radio and television, Hibbeler brings a unique mix of communications and media expertise.
“Gregg’s proven leadership and his unique blend of nonprofit and broadcasting experience make him the right choice to lead the KAB into its next chapter,” said Phil McComb, Chair of the Kansas Association of Broadcasters Board of Directors. “We are excited for the energy and expertise he brings to our members.”

About Gregg Hibbeler
Gregg Hibbeler brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in nonprofit management, brand development, and strategic communications, with a career spanning media, sports marketing, and national nonprofit organizations. With a professional background in both radio and television, Gregg offers a unique perspective on how broadcasters connect with and strengthen local communities.
Prior to joining KAB, Gregg served as Principal of the Brand Management Group, a consulting agency that helped clients develop distinctive brands to shape communications, drive product and service innovation, and enhance customer experiences. His early career in broadcasting included business development roles at KYYS-FM/WDAF-AM, KCUR-FM, and Viacom, providing him with firsthand insight into the radio and television industries.
He is certified in Strategic Brand Development and Crisis Communication Planning and is a graduate of the New Strategies Leadership Program at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. His work has earned recognition from the American Marketing Association, the National Public Health Information Coalition, and the International Communicator Awards. Gregg holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Rockhurst University.
