We are excited to welcome five exceptional students as KAB Ambassadors for the 2025-26 academic year. These ambassadors will serve as connectors between the KAB and college broadcasting programs, helping to share opportunities and promote student engagement.
This year’s ambassadors are:
Emma Noble, University of Kansas
“I am an incoming junior studying Journalism and Mass Communications with a concentration in Sports Media and Society and a minor in Sport Management at The University of Kansas. With a love for storytelling and passion for sharing current events with the public, journalism is right where I belong. I have experience working as an MMJ and reporter for KSNT 27 News in Topeka, KS, and as a reporter for PlaymakersKU, KU’s top student-led sports show, where I have been recently promoted to producer for the 2025-2026 school year. I have been accepted to serve as a student ambassador for the School of Journalism at KU and the Kansas Association of Broadcasters for this upcoming school year as well. Everyone has a story, and I can’t wait to tell it.”
Lauren Richey, University of Kansas
I am a senior studying journalism at the University of Kansas. I recently completed my producing role for our student-run sports show, Playmakers, where I also covered a wide variety of KU sports and managed our social media accounts. I am super excited to get going and represent KAB this upcoming year!
Abigail Shearer, Fort Hays State University
“I am a sophomore at Fort Hays State University; I am Majoring in Digital Media and Journalism along with Leadership. I am involved in Tiger Media Network as a multimedia content creator, and KFHS Radio as a manager. In my free time I like to read books and jam out to music.”
Cadence Brier, Kansas State University
“I am an incoming Sophomore at Kansas State University. I am a double-major in Communications, along with News & Sports Media, with a minor in Leadership Studies. I work for the on-campus radio station, Wildcat 91.9, as well as the video production team on campus, Wildcat Watch. I’m looking forward to working, learning, and growing with this amazing organization in the coming school year!”
Delaney Murphy, Kansas State University
I am currently studying News and Sports Media at Kansas State University. I am actively involved in Wildcat 91.9, Pi Beta Phi Sorority, and the Women in Sports Club. Through these organizations, I’ve gained valuable experience and a strong passion for media and sports.
Each of these students demonstrated a strong commitment to broadcasting and media, and we’re proud to have them represent the KAB throughout the year. The Ambassador Program provides leadership opportunities, professional development and a deeper connection to the broadcast community in Kansas.
We look forward to working with this team as they help us engage and inspire future broadcasters across the state.
