The Kansas Association of Broadcasters is proud to announce the recipients of the 2026 KAB Individual Awards, recognizing outstanding achievement, leadership, service and promise within Kansas broadcasting.
This year’s honorees represent the very best of our industry — from dedicated professionals making an impact early in their careers to broadcasters whose commitment to their stations, clients and communities has left a lasting mark.
The 2026 Individual Award recipients will be recognized during the KAB 75th Annual Convention, October 18 – 19 at the Wichita Marriott.
Mike Oatman Award for Sales Excellence
Lindsay Randall-Fabrizius
Lindsay Randall-Fabrizius is an experienced marketing, media and sales professional passionate about helping businesses connect with audiences and achieve meaningful growth.
A Kansas State University graduate, Lindsay began her career in Dallas before moving to Los Angeles as a media buyer for Bozell, Jacobs, Kenyon & Eckhardt. Her transition into sales began at CBS Radio, a national rep firm in Los Angeles. She continued building her national media experience as National Sales Manager for Citadel Broadcasting in Salt Lake City.
In 2009, Lindsay returned to Kansas and accepted a national and local manager position with Morris Communications for Manhattan and Topeka. Through ownership changes, she has also worked with Alpha Media, Connoisseur Media and currently MSC Radio / MSC Amplify Digital.
Lindsay makes it a top priority to bring clients opportunities that combine the power of radio with strategic digital marketing campaigns. With extensive experience across radio, digital and agricultural media, she is passionate about creating integrated campaigns tailored to each client’s goals.
Outside of work, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her husband, Curt, and their family, golfing and taking advantage of opportunities to travel and explore new places.
Sonny Slater Award for Service to Station and Community
Lucky Kidd
Lucky Kidd (1961–2026) was born on October 19, 1961, in Salina, Kansas. In 1973, his family made McPherson their home. Lucky graduated from McPherson High School in 1979 and later earned an Associate Degree in Communications from Hutchinson Community College.
Lucky displayed an extraordinary intellect as a young child and showed an early fascination with broadcasting. He could be seen walking through town with headphones on, listening intently to the radio.
Lucky devoted more than 35 years to broadcasting. He began his career at KNEX shortly after graduating high school. He worked for KWLS for seven years, then in southwest Kansas for a couple of years before landing at Ad Astra Radio in June 1999. There, he became the News & Public Affairs Director, and his voice became a trusted source of news, weather, sports and severe weather coverage for communities across central and western Kansas.
Lucky covered countless state championships, breaking news stories and significant events throughout his career and interviewed many notable figures.
In 2025, Lucky received his first Kansas Association of Broadcasters Award of Excellence.
Lucky also cherished family time. Many holidays were spent at his sister Elizabeth’s home, where Frank’s barbecue became a beloved tradition. He was an avid sports fan throughout his life and enjoyed cheering on the University of Kansas Jayhawks.
To the countless listeners who looked forward to hearing his unmistakable sign-off — “I’m Lucky Kiiidd!” — he will forever be remembered as a gifted storyteller, a trusted voice and a loyal friend whose legacy will continue to resonate throughout Kansas.
Rising Star Award – Radio
Addison Stoddard
Addison Stoddard serves as the Farm Director for the Kansas Farm and Ranch Radio Network, where her passion for agriculture drives her daily work. Dedicated to sharing vital information with farmers and ranchers, she delivers daily farm news, market reports and hosts the morning Auction Block on Farm N Country 790 KXXX.
Her love for broadcast took root at Utah State University, where she earned bachelor’s degrees in Agricultural Communication and Journalism while gaining hands-on experience through Utah Public Radio and the university’s weekly TV newscast.
Beyond the airwaves, Addison’s love for the agricultural community extends into her personal projects. For fun, she created and hosts All Things Ag Gal, a podcast dedicated to highlighting, celebrating and amplifying the voices of women in agriculture.
Whether reporting on current market trends or sharing stories behind the mic, Addison remains committed to supporting and informing the hardworking producers who feed the world.
Rising Star Award – Television
Amanda Salgado
Amanda Salgado is the Digital Sales Manager of KOAM. In 2021, Amanda applied for a Digital and Marketing Assistant position, not knowing that decision would change her life in a profound way.
Her passion has always been to help people. While working in sales, she found that helping local businesses and creating strong relationships is what fulfills her. Not only does Amanda find passion in helping local businesses, but she also enjoys helping her team and her station continue to make strides toward the future with digital advertising.
In her spare time, Amanda enjoys reading any and all types of literature and spending time with her husband and their dogs.
