Chairman’s Message
Roger Brokke, WIBW TV Group TopekaGreetings Fellow Broadcasters!

I hope this message finds you well and filled with the same sense of excitement that I am experiencing as we reflect on recent events and look forward to the opportunities ahead. I hope everyone stayed safe from the recent wave of weather, and I extend my sincere gratitude to the broadcasters for their invaluable service in providing prompt weather updates.

I want to extend a thank-you to all the speakers and attendees who made our recent Student Broadcast and Sports Seminar an overwhelming success. With over 300 passionate individuals coming together, this event marked a milestone in our journey towards excellence. Your participation and engagement are the driving forces behind the success of such events, and your commitment to learning and growth inspires us all.

In the spirit of celebrating achievements, I am thrilled to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the recipients of the KAB Kids scholarship (recipients will be notified later this month). This incredible member benefit exemplifies the ethos of the KAB. I would also like to remind our college students and professors that the deadline to submit KAB Foundation Broadcast Scholarship applications is today. The scholarship is a testament to our commitment to nurturing talent and investing in the future of our industry. I encourage all eligible students to seize this chance to further their education and career aspirations.

Looking ahead, I am excited to remind you about the upcoming Sales Roadshow with Derron Steenbergen, a renowned expert in the field. This opportunity promises to equip our members with invaluable insights and strategies to excel in their roles. I urge you to mark your calendars and sign up by May 3 for this enriching experience, which will be held in Kansas City, Topeka and Wichita.
