Greetings Fellow Broadcasters! Fall is upon us and there are a few important updates and reminders I’d like to share. First, don’t forget that the registration deadline for the upcoming KAB Convention is October 4. This is an event you don’t want to miss! It’s a prime opportunity to network with your peers, learn from industry experts and take part in discussions that shape the future of broadcasting. The highlight of the convention will be the Station Awards Dinner, where we will celebrate the stars of Kansas broadcasting. Be sure to register by Friday to secure your spot for this exciting event! In other important news, the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act has passed out of the House Energy and Commerce Committee and will move to the House floor for a full vote. This is a critical step forward to ensuring the future of AM radio in vehicles across the country. I encourage all radio stations to continue promoting the NAB spots that urge constituents to contact our members of Congress and encourage them to support this legislation. Your efforts can make a real difference. I’m also thrilled to introduce a new initiative from the Kansas Association of Broadcasters Foundation: The Twenty for Tomorrow Fund. This giving program is designed to help secure the future of our industry by supporting education, mentorship and workforce development. It’s a simple way for you to contribute to the next generation of broadcasters, and I encourage you to consider donating to this important cause. More details about this exciting program can be found below. Thank you for your continued commitment to excellence in broadcasting. I look forward to seeing many of you at the convention and celebrating the incredible work you do! |
