Ottawa University, an entrepreneurial, Christian University, seeks candidates and/or nominations for a full-time faculty position to coordinate all journalism, broadcasting and media production labs and adjunct advisors (assignment: The College). This position will be assigned the appropriate faculty rank based on teaching experience and academic credentials. Faculty member will be expected to advise production courses in two or more of the following areas: radio, newspaper, digital media and be prepared to teach coursework in two or more of the following areas: newspaper reporting, newspaper editing, broadcasting, broadcast management, video production, integrated digital media, photography. On a day-to-day basis, the radio advisor must supervise and coordinate all aspects of a 100-watt student-run, local non-commercial radio station. Provides leadership and support for curricular content in the media/journalism Department within the Division, which has three Departments: media/journalism, communication arts & strategic communication.

Qualifications:
|
Minimum qualifications for the full-time, 9-month faculty position include a masters degree in journalism, broadcast, new media or related field, as well as experience in non-commercial radio; academic and practical experience working with diverse populations highly desirable. Rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience. Faculty member must display an enthusiasm for teaching a media/journalism curriculum from a liberal arts perspective, and an interest in working with undergraduates.
